Yo, Tranquility.

[ Rose has been coming to the temples in person lately. Partly because it's easier than text and, well, because maybe she wants to personally interact with the gods a little bit more. ]

What's a lady got to do to get one of you to grow us some epic weed in the orchard?

[ She knows that Sorrow's the plant man, but this seems more like Tranquility's speed. ]

[Alphys doesn't normally come to the temples; she heavily prefers to keep her interactions over text and a screen. But she's a little worried about the Null and other Gods monitoring the network, and despite others chiming in previously, she wants to ask him a few questions herself.]

H-Hey, uhm-- Tranquility? If you're here? I wanted to ask you, uh, a-about some of the stuff you said on the network, uhm. Yesterday. If you have a minute.

[The calming presence of the temple is helping, at least, but there's only so much anxiety you can quell about a person when it's 90% of their being.]

[ Good to know. She might be making more trips to Tranquility's temple then, since. She could definitely use some chill out time now and again. ]

Oh my gosh, [ she breathes, smile amused as can be. ] You don't know. Okay, so. Weed is... It's actual name is Cannabis and it's. People burn it and inhale the smoke and it, like. Makes them super chilled out.

I figured that'd be right up your alley. Not everyone's into it so it won't, like, make a super huge power imbalance or anything but it'd definitely benefit you in the long run. And, honestly, more people in this cave could use some chill I think.

I saw on the network you were, uhm, t-talking about how you used to talk with the Null, and that you thought, uhm, maybe you could reason with them...? I know it uh, I mean I know that's dangerous now, I guess I was just, uh, wondering, if... do you t-think that would be possible? At all?

[She wants to help, at least to an extent. She knows she can't fight, and she's not the best diplomat, but this is at least a solution she wants to try to push towards.]

Well, I got super outvoted, so I can't do it. But I don't know - I thought it might have a chance.

[He shrugs.]

We used to be allies, you know? Maybe I could talk 'em around.

[ A nod. ]

[ She leaves then, but true to her word he'll receive a text the next day with an image attached. Also, some information about the plant including what she knows of the make-up of it and recreational as well as medicinal uses. ]

Hey, that should be easy enough. I'll talk to Sorrow about putting some in the orchard. As for an asking price... sounds like it'll give me plenty of power all on its own, but how about telling me what calms you down when you're upset?

It's the only thing that brings me back to my senses. It's the only thing that makes sense when everything else doesn't.
When I lost my hand in Haven, that was one of the things I was most upset about. That I couldn't play my guitar anymore when things got bad.
Playing is the best but just singing or even listening to something always helps calm my nerves.

They weren't cool with the fact that being around us made them feel emotions. Maybe that's what they were talking about.

And I get what you're saying. I'm on the same page. But I've been totally outvoted, so I think negotiation is off the table for now.

[There's only so much he can calm here, even if she really would like to be, with her soul feeling like it's buzzing in her chest.]

I... I understand, I just. I know there's been a lot of talk recently about this, and, if it comes to, uhm... war or anything, I don't. I don't fight. I just... wanted to try. I don't want to see anyone get killed.

I get that. I don't want any of us to die again, either, and I know Hope really wants to keep you all safe. We'll do our best. You shouldn't have to fight.

[She nods, even if she was maybe hoping for something more... optimistic.]

Good luck, uhm, I guess. I know its... I don't think I'd be good in a fight, but if I can help someone, I... Rosie really likes you guys. You've done some stuff I, uh, I d-don't agree with, but... nobody deserves to die for that.
