For me, peace means purpose. I've found neither of those things since I arrived, and the result is that I've allowed myself to stagnate and withdraw.
I want to ask for your help in finding a job here. Preferably one that puts me in contact with others. I met a bartender when I first arrived, and that seems like an occupation that allows one to learn a lot about others, so. My official request is for you to ask Delight to hire and train me in that capacity.
If the request seems mundane, it's because I know I have a tendency toward being abrasive, and in person, I do not seem like the type who would excel in a position like this.
That's a really cool idea. I guess the problem there is that Delight's bar is currently a burnt-out ruin. I don't know if she's planning to rebuild it - I don't think so, at least not right now. I could talk to her about getting you a job there when she does rebuild, though. I mean, if she does.
If there aren't a lot of people that utilize the lot, why would an attendant be necessary? I ask out of genuine curiosity and not to mock or ridicule the offer, which was likely extended from a place of sincere helpful intent.
